Attorney (Atty.) Irvin’s legal career began in 1999 when he began the Irvin Firm in Columbia, Mississippi (MS).

Attorney (Atty.) Irvin’s legal career began in 1999 when he began the Irvin Firm in Columbia, Mississippi (MS). Since then he
has served as a Public Defender for Marion County, MS; Assistant (Asst.) City Atty. for Jackson, MS; Asst. United States Atty.
for the Department of Justice’s Southern District of MS; Special Asst. Atty. General for MS; and Legal Director for American
Civil Liberties Union of MS. Atty. Irvin currently practices statewide at Irvin Law, PLLC, addressing topics such as youth
court defense; family law; chancery practice; state and federal criminal defense, political and legal consulting/analysis; nonprofit
consulting; personal credit, consumer law, business law; and injury law.
In addition to his legal experience, Atty. Irvin has over 10 years of experience in academia to include serving as Adjunct
Professor at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, MS; Asst. Professor at Jackson State University in Jackson, MS;
Asst. Professor/Undergraduate Coordinator at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, MS; Adjunct
Professor/Facilitator at South University (Online); and as Asst. Professor/Online Program Director for South University’s
Master of Criminal Justice Program.
Since 2009, Atty. Irvin has served as a Principal Partner of Building Professionals Group, a non-profit organization that
provides life skills training, mentoring, and motivational public speaking to disadvantaged youth. For more information,

Atty. Irvin received a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Jackson State University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from
Loyola University School of Law, and earned Doctor of Philosophy in the Administration of Justice from The University of
Southern Mississippi.
Early in Atty. Irvin’s career, he received a four-year political appointment as the Alderman of Ward 1 and Mayor Pro Tem in
Columbia, MS. Other notable accomplishments include a book review in The Academian; a presentation at the 2005
Southern Criminal Justice Association in Jacksonville, FL; and participation in a round table discussion in Baltimore, MD’s
2006 Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.
Atty. Irvin’s past affiliations included the MS Bar Association and the National Association of Asst. United States Attys. Atty.
Irvin is currently affiliated with the Magnolia Bar Association and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Phi Rho Chapter.
Born in Columbia, Mississippi, businessman Leslie Peters values of honesty and humility have translated into his work as a
renowned Management and Financial Specialist. Using the power of speech, Mr. Peter’s goal of wanting to help inspire others
to overcome their fears and rise above life’s obstacles, motivated him to embark on a career where he makes a difference
daily in the lives of individuals and families.
As a co-founder and partner of Irvin Law, PLLC, Leslie Peters helps those in financial distress fight through what he considers
a “Uniformed credit score” that controls their lives and hinders their opportunities.
A graduate of Jackson State University, he continued his academic career at the University of Phoenix, where he earned a
Masters of Business Administration degree. With knowledge in hand, Leslie was committed to bringing awareness to the
importance of the various management techniques needed to live a fulfilling lifestyle.
His experience in corporate management began with supermarket retailer Winn Dixie Inc. where he has the distinction of
becoming the first African American college graduate to participate in the Management Training Program in the New
Orleans region. Mr. Peters also held managerial positions with Gap, Inc, and was later recruited by the IM Diversity
Corporation to oversee the teaching of diversity and tolerance in the West Coast division of the diversity recruiting
department.
Due to his time in corporate management, Mr. Peter’s decided to further his outreach in training corporations and
individuals in matters of diversity and finance. He founded Visions Group LLC, personal development and training consulting
firm, through which he has spoken to adults and youth in 45 states about the importance of life and the choices we make
impacting our future. Through Visions Group, Leslie has worked with clients such as Monster.com and was heavily involved
in its Diversity Leadership Program. He also expanded his training client base by joining V.Wright and Associates, a leader in
Change Management and technical training solutions. Through V.Wright & Associates, Mr. Peter’s has worked with clients
such as Hewlett Packard, Deloitte Consulting, Delta Airlines, Intel Corporation, United States Postal Service, Pfizer, Walt
Disney Company, and numerous school districts and community organizations to help people “Give Fear the Pink Slip ,
accept change, and move toward their greatness.
In addition to corporate training and credit consulting, Leslie also has many years of experience managing community nonprofits
such as the Boy & Girls Club and working with donors and board members throughout the United States.
